Job Purpose:

As a Social Media Content Creator, you’ll play a pivotal role in crafting compelling content that resonates with our audience, fostering engagement and connection with World Vision Canada.

Reporting to the Social Media Manager, you'll be at the forefront of content creation, from ideation to execution, ensuring our social media platforms remain vibrant and impactful.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality visual and written content, including photos, videos, graphics, and written posts, that align with brand guidelines and resonate with our target audience.
  • Maintain project timelines and schedules, overseeing production processes and facilitating necessary revisions or enhancements.
  • Cultivate a creative environment that aligns with our organizational mission and values, promoting team development through inclusivity, open communication, and collaboration.
  • Provide expertise to internal team members and external collaborators, ensuring the delivery of top-tier content.
  • Collaborate on content planning, production, distribution, and performance analysis, offering insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Coordinate with all departments to align content strategies and deliver cohesive messaging.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to understand project goals and concepts, creating visual aids to clarify and enhance ideas.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics and use data-driven insights to optimize content.
  • Engage with our online community by responding to comments, messages and questions in a timely and professional manner using our brand’s voice and tone.
  • Stay updated on cultural, social, and design trends, presenting innovative solutions to enhance our content quality continually.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience creating social media content within a marketing environment.
  • Comfortable in front of the camera and delivering voiceovers.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing compelling social media content, using tools such as DSLR cameras, Adobe Creative Cloud products, Canva, and CapCut.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling and engaging copy for social media posts, captions, and other written content.
  • Experience in content development, design, curation, and management across social media platforms.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices, including experience managing and growing social media accounts.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for vision and brand conceptualization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Team player with a proven track record of collaboration.
  • Experience working with creative freelancers and third-party vendors is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in storytelling and video production, primarily focused on marketing, is preferred.

Working Conditions: Remote work with some in-office time required (e.g., quarterly planning, content filming days)
