Job Purpose: 

 

We are seeking a Director of Marketing Operations. This strategic role is at the heart of our marketing efforts, managing the operational backbone of our mass marketing initiatives. The Director of Marketing Operations will oversee sponsorship [DB1] operations, experiential marketing logistics, and donor operations, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with our mission to delight supporters. A significant aspect of this role involves driving the modernization of our teams and processes as part of our overall digital transformation, with a strong focus on implementing automation and AI to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Donor Operations: Oversee key customer touchpoints related to the supporter base, including profile updates, production of tax receipts, and other essential supporter micro-experiences. Introduce automation to streamline these processes, improving accuracy and supporter satisfaction.

 

  • Sponsorship Operations Management: Oversee the coordination with field offices to ensure the continuous availability of new sponsorship opportunities for supporters. Streamline processes and implement technology solutions to enhance the efficiency and impact of our sponsorship programs.

 

  • Experiential Marketing Operations: Manage the production and logistics of materials for promotional events across Canada, ensuring brand consistency and optimal engagement. Leverage digital tools and platforms to extend the reach and impact of experiential marketing efforts.

 

  • Digital Transformation and Modernization: Lead the digital transformation within the marketing operations, identifying opportunities for automation and the implementation of AI technologies to increase efficiency and scalability.

 

  • Team Leadership and Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team capable of executing operational tasks with excellence and innovation. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning, ensuring the team stays abreast of the latest digital marketing trends and technologies.

 

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Work closely with the marketing leadership to develop and implement strategic plans that support the organization’s goals. Ensure operational activities are aligned with strategic objectives, optimizing resources and budget for maximum impact.

 

  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure marketing operations support broader organizational objectives. Serve as a key liaison between marketing and other departments, including finance, IT, and field offices.

 

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience in marketing operations, preferably within a charity or non-profit organization delivering digital products. Demonstrated success in driving results through the delivery of outstanding customer experiences.

 

  • Leadership and Management: Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing effective teams. Experience in driving change and fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

 

  • Digital Expertise: Deep understanding of digital marketing tools and technologies, with a focus on automation, AI, and process optimization. Experience in leading digital transformation projects.

 

  • Analytical and Strategic Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data to inform strategic decisions. Proficient in using data analytics to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.

 

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate vision, strategy, and results to stakeholders at all levels.

 

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications in marketing technology, digital transformation, or operations management are highly desirable.
