Reporting to the Manager of Sales & Operations Planning, the Transportation Scheduler will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of transportation into and out of Canada & USA. Duties include continuous communication with trucking companies and company drivers, as well as examining all routes with regards to timeliness and prices needed for the company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining good relations with all freight companies, company drivers and suppliers.


•    Dispatching/Tracking/Tracing company drivers and carriers
•    Create, maintain and follow through of daily schedule with transportation companies and company drivers
•    Resolve conflicts with transportation companies and drivers in a timely manner
•    Managing time, schedules and budgets
•    Perform additional duties and complete special projects as required


•    High school diploma required
•    A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Transportation/Logistics field
•    Effective communicator with ability to foster good working relationships with team members
•    Proven ability to make decisions rapidly on limited information
•    Strong organizational and multitasking skills
•    Familiarity with MTO regulations
•    Must be able to manage multiple locations (Canada & USA)
•    Must be proficient with Microsoft Office/Excel/Word and the ability to learn and adapt to new software easily
•    A personal commitment to excellence
•    Ability to think clearly and react properly under pressure
•    Canada Customs knowledge an asset
