Reporting into the Quality Control Manager, the Quality Control Supervisor’s main responsibilities include ensuring that products meet customer expectations and legal compliance.
•    Conduct a daily review of communications from previous day’s production and any related quality issues
•    Lead daily interdepartmental meetings to communicate information regarding any production and quality matters with Procurement, Production, Finance and Maintenance departments
•    Determine root causes of downtime and develop corrective and/or preventative measures
•    Ensure all documentation for products and production runs are completed accurately
•    Supervise the afternoon and night shift quality personnel by ensuring they are equipped with the necessary resources and training
•    Monitor daily QA functions to ensure that various tasks and testing requirements are accurately performed
•    Supervise quality on the production floor by providing support throughout the plant
•    Ensure policies such as GMP, traffic flow and sanitation are adhered to
•    Monitor performance by gathering relevant data and produce statistical reports
•    Post-secondary education preferably in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry or related field
•    Minimum 3 - 5 years’ of food related quality experience in a manufacturing environment
•    Proven ability to manage and influence others
•    Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work a fast paced environment
•    Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
•    Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and handle pressure
