The Technical Designer will work closely with the Technical Design team to interpret and translate the brand vision into technical specifications for the production of collection line and provide technical support to Design, Patternmaking, and Production teams. Review and give direction regarding specs, construction and grading issues.

Responsible for:

  • Create black/white and filled technical sketches with specifications

  • Create technical packages with all details of garment construction

  • Add additional details for clarification (detail views, close up sketches)

  • Work with Designer/ Patternmaker to ensure all details are clear and the vision is conceptualized

  • Communicate daily with internal team members as well as factories

  • Collect information on packaging and specs from other departments to forward to the factories

  • Create seasonal color charts and swatch rings for development teams

  • Photograph & edit trims and fabrics for sketch creation

  • Daily communication with factories, ensure a smooth production process and resolve issues that may arise

  • Coordinate and modify ideas from different sources and put in detailed practical drawings for easy access

  • Work in collaboration with Design, Patternmaking, and Production team members to improve the quality of the product, to ensure that all dates on the production calendar are respected and ensure all details are clear and overall vision is conceptualized

  • Communicate daily with factories, ensuring a smooth production process and resolving issues that may arise



  • Fashion Design Diploma

  • 2 to 5 yeas experience in Patternmaking. Design or Technical Design

  • Advance knowledge of Adobe Illustrator or Kaledo system

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop & InDesign

  • Technical apparel and luxury fabric experience is essential

  • Sound judgement and a good understanding of trends and the fashion apparel industry

  • Extensive understanding of production cycle, of fabric and impact on design

  • Solid computer skills, particularly in adobe and Microsoft Suite

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Bilingual (English and French), Bulgarian an asset

  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
