Fresh Prep is a fast-growing Vancouver company that makes it easy to cook incredible meals in just 15-30 minutes. We do this by sourcing local ingredients for delicious recipes, which are then prepared and delivered to customers’ homes in reusable cooler bags. In 2018 and 2019, we were recognized by the Georgia Straight as Vancouver’s #1 meal kit.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Review, proofread, and quality control 10+ recipe cards per week, ensuring consistency and accuracy among all individual recipes for both copy and design.
  • Proofread at varying stages of a document’s lifecycle – first drafts to changes to the final version ready for print.
  • Track edits to ensure any requested changes were made.
  • Correct misspellings, grammatical, culinary, and design errors.
  • Conform to branded language that is consumer-friendly and in line with Fresh Prep style guide.
  • Cooking recipes from start to finish to ensure all ingredients are appropriately listed and instructions are clear, concise and easy to execute.
  • Working closely with recipe developers to improve and validate language for final recipes.

What We Are Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in proofreading
  • Proficient in Google Docs and Google Sheets
  • Previous experience working with a recipe style guide a plus
