Purpose of the Job

 

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Acquisitions, the Paid Search Associate Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and optimization of our paid search channels. As a Paid Search Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in achieving customer acquisition targets and driving consideration for new and existing digital products. This net new role will grant you the ability to exhibit your SEM expertise and further develop a creative and data-driven acquisition program. Additionally, you will collaborate with other senior team members to ensure every step of the customer journey is seamless and built on data and creative thinking.

 

Main Activities:

 

  • Steer the strategy, execution, and optimization of Equitable Bank and EQ Bank’s search marketing channel for both Always-On and key campaign pushes throughout the year
  • Development and modification of strategically sound accounts, campaigns, and ad groups to evolve with business targets, based on research
  • Oversee daily / weekly campaign bid management and execution
  • Execute ongoing tactical tests and analyzing data to apply in existing and future campaigns including, but not limited to, keyword expansion, ad copy adjustments, and campaign analysis
  • Working with the internal creative team on creation and revision of ad copy
  • Stay up to date on industry best practices to apply them to drive customer growth, working with various search vendors (i.e. Google, Bing, and Yahoo)
  • Provide weekly and ad hoc analysis of campaigns to share with the Marketing team, explaining changes in performance and required actions to improve
  • Proactively research latest tools and trends, as well as target audience, industry, and competitive landscape
  • Serve as the search expert in the Marketing team, proactively bringing knowledge of search trends and tools that can aid in further business growth

 

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

 

  • University or college education in Marketing, Commerce, Business or related experience
  • 5+ years’ experience managing search marketing campaigns and budgets
  • Financial industry experience is an asset
  • Leading agency experience is an asset
  • Subject matter expert in AdWords, Google Display and Bing Ads
  • Proficiency cutting through quantitative data to provide actionable insights to apply across all marketing channels
  • Google Ads Certification in Search Advertising required. Preferable to also include Video Advertising
  • Comfortable utilizing Google Analytics for research and creation of goal conversions defined by business goals and into translation of SEM goals
  • Proactive mindset to continuously improve business ROI
  • Ability to steer course dependent on ad hoc market conditions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Understands the difference between brand marketing and acquisition strategies and channels, and the relationship between them
  • Has a sound understanding of other marketing channels and how it plays a role throughout the customer journey
