Equitable’s digital platform is our strategic enabler to offer innovative solutions that challenge the status quo in banking.  As an application architect, you are an analytical self-starter who can design elegant and pragmatic, tested solutions to all sorts of requirements. You can conceptualize, create and maintain app architectures that are reusable. You can also define dev standards such as patterns, frameworks, build packs, code scans/reviews and testing harnesses. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Design your solutions- end to end app designs including conceptual/logical/ architecture including for non-functional components
  • Own what you design; support and monitor
  • Provide Strategic guidance, technical leadership and consultation to Line of Business and development teams
  • Conduct application security reviews
  • Research, monitor business & technology trends and competitive trends and Conduct technical feasibility assessments
  • Contribute to high level build estimates
  • Represents Line of Business technology directions to other areas of the bank and industry

 

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or a related technical field
  • Ability to communicate technical information and ideas effectively
  • 7+ years experience in designing, developing and supporting application
  • Technical domain knowledge of software development languages, tools, and patterns (Java Spring/Springboot, Hibernate, Angular, iOS and Android)
  • Experience in building enterprise grade solutions for highly-available and scalable distributed systems
  • Understanding of Digital Security Concepts such as SAML, OAuth, OIDC and secure coding practices.
  • Working knowledge of PaaS technologies and cloud computing platforms
  • Understanding of DevOps concepts (Continuous Integration/Delivery) and tools
  • Experience with agile / iterative development methodologies
  • Ability to infer decisions and build consensus for recommendations

Nice-to-have

  • Experience using JIRA & Confluence for sprint based delivery
  • Mule ESB or MuleSoft Anypoint Platform knowledge
