Reporting to the Director of Outside Plant Engineering, the Manager of Customer Solutions Engineering is an integral member of a highly collaborative Engineering team. The Manager will provide leadership in the service analysis, costing, coordination and completion of business customer solutions Engineering design projects. Responsible for managing the Customer Solutions Engineering team, the Manager will ensure that work and resources are prioritized and allocated effectively while fostering an environment of dedication, innovation and continuous improvement. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Developing and implementing technology design for customer specific voice, data and dedicated internet solutions for our business customers.
  • Managing the Customer Solutions Engineering team to handle design analysis, estimates cost, and initiates approval processes to ensure projects are profitable and in the best interest of the company and the customer.
  • Collaborating together with many internal stakeholders and external partners/suppliers, the Manager of Customer Solutions Engineering works to leverage the best capabilities for high quality customer specific services in a timely and cost-effective manner as well as working with Senior Network Engineering to learn the network configurations of Telephone, Video, IP and Transport Networks. 
As the ideal candidate, you have a post-secondary degree in Engineering coupled with at least 10 years of experience within the Telecommunications industry, inclusive of 7 years of management experience. Your experience has provided you with in-depth knowledge of Engineering design principals and processes, Telecom networks including Transport, IP, Video, Mobile, Telephone, Data, etc.,  as well as access engineering, construction and design techniques for Fiber, Coax and Copper.

A natural leader, you have the ability to provide guidance on complex technical issues, foster strong relationships throughout the organization and externally, and have an invested interest in the development of your team. Able to focus on the details while keeping the big picture in mind, you leverage your knowledge of project management principles to drive results in a dynamic, deadline driven environment.
