The successful candidate will enhance CAA Niagara’s culture through employee interactions, supporting a value-added responsive HR function.
As the Human Resources Assistant for CAA Niagara, you will align with our values of integrity, teamwork, service excellence and respect & inclusivity. You will provide administrative and HR support to complement the team and business needs. The HR Assistant role will balance independent and collaborative work in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a self-starter with strong attention to detail and a passion to learn and grow within the company and HR field.

To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:
Experience: At least one (1) year of Human Resources Experience. Co-op experience will be accepted.
Education: Post-Secondary degree/post-graduate in Human Resources Management
Skills: You must have excellent attention to detail, someone who can prioritize multiple and conflicting priorities while ensuring a focus on quality. You must also understand the fundamentals of the Human Resources field and its practices.
Characteristics: This is an autonomous position, so you should be self-sufficient and self-motivated. It is also a role that requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.
As CAA Niagara’s Human Resources Assistant, you will be supporting the fundamental basis of HR, including, but not limited to:
Recruiting functions such as posting jobs, applicant tracking, pre-screens, reference checking, creating offer letters and new hire welcome kits.
Delivering orientations and supporting the function of the onboarding program.
Managing employee files for accuracy and completion.
Crafting informative and relevant HR updates and newsletters, while managing the online intranet content for HR Department & Communications.
Administering group benefits and pension, updating the HRIS and supporting the payroll function.
Organizing and Tracking online training needs.
Participating in Health, Safety & Wellness initiatives.
Supporting the HR Generalist in other business-related projects.
