Marketing Manager, APAC

 

We are looking for Marketing Manager, supporting the VP of Distribution - Asia and the Managing Director, APAC in our Singapore location.

 

The successful candidate will be highly collaborative, key to the regional growth, they must work extremely well independently and with others, building strong relationships externally with affiliate platform contacts across APAC and internally with Blue Ant Media teams around the world.

 

Candidates must be highly skilled multi-taskers; the environment is fast paced with an all-hands-on deck approach to working. The successful candidate will be someone who isn’t afraid to “get their hands dirty”, is detail-oriented, organised, passionate about TV and has a keen interest to learn about the pay-tv broadcast and FAST streaming industry.

 

What You’ll Be Doing…

 

Affiliate Marketing Support - client facing 

  • Maintain a list of marketing contacts within all regional affiliates and platforms who are carrying Blue Ant Media channels (Love Nature and FAST)
  • Be the central point of contact for all regional pay TV affiliates and platforms for all forms of marketing support including new content releases, promotional and marketing materials, logos, images, metadata, EPG, file delivery etc
  • Assist with new channels launches as well as leading strategy and support for our growing FAST and on-demand business for multiple brands in the region
  • Communicate programming strategy, marketing opportunities and content knowledge to support brand growth both internally and externally with our affiliate partners who carry our brand
  • Coordinate marketing activities with pay-tv and streaming platforms and our representatives (agents) in APAC particularly LYD (Korea), Portico (Taiwan) and MSky (Vietnam)
  • Participate where possible in business trips to meet and support our affiliate customers
  • Coordinate marketing assets for regional trade events as needed by regional teams
  • Act as the marketing point of contact for all ad sales related needs from the platforms 

 

Content Sales – marketing support 

  • Provide research and support to Sales Lead on content pitch deck for client across the region
  • Provide sales support by way of producing pitch decks and other materials

 

Marketing 

  • Work closely with international team to promote the Love Nature and FAST channel brands and properties by localizing marketing campaigns across affiliate platforms to promote tune-in, subscribers and engagement
  • Serve as a key thought leader in aligning the brand’s strategies to formulate affiliate marketing strategies to integrate promotional efforts across all platforms both internal and external (on-air, online, print, direct mail, radio, social media, on-ground etc)
  • Support the growth and development of the Love Nature and FAST channel brands

 

Channel Operations - support

  • Gathering Onboarding information from affiliates/agents for new deliveries and scheduling test files (video/subtitles/metadata/imagery) with the internal teams (Programming/MediaService/Creative)
  • Submitting tickets with Media Services for project deliveries and collating/requesting all subsequent supporting materials.

 

APAC Strategy 

  • Contribute to the APAC strategy and the development and implementation of regional sales growth strategy 
  • Be the regional point of contact for internal marketing and programming needs about the needs of regional branded services affiliates
  • Input into the marketing plan for APAC affiliates
  • Work with the Central Marketing teams to prepare brand specific marketing materials for promotional opportunities and share key marketing documentation with existing and prospect platforms

  

What You’ll Bring…

 

  • Degree/Diploma in Marketing Management or Mass Communications
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years marketing experience in a service industry, ideally the pay TV industry
  • Effectively bi-lingual in English and Chinese to liaise with associates (both written & verbal) would be an asset
  • Strong inter-personal skills
  • Self-starter, and multi-tasker
  • Creative, analytical and resourceful
  • Willingness to travel
  • Commerce/ Business - marketing
  • Digital/trade/international marketing experience
  • Existing network in TV/ pay-tv/ digital platforms in APAC
