We take pride in offering unparalleled service, and we are currently seeking a dynamic and talented individual to join our team as a Catering and Events Coordinator.

Position Overview: As a Catering and Events Coordinator at The Explorer Hotel, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of events and catering services. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who excels in managing diverse events, from corporate meetings to weddings. The successful candidate will collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to execute flawless events, contributing to the overall excellence for which The Explorer Hotel is known.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute a variety of events, including corporate meetings, weddings, and social gatherings.
  • Liaise with clients to understand their event requirements and preferences.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as culinary and banquet staff, to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Manage event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and coordination of on-site services.
  • Ensure that all aspects of events adhere to quality and service standards.
  • Oversee catering services, including menu planning and coordination with the culinary team.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address client inquiries and concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in event planning and coordination, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality events.
  • Knowledge of catering services and menu planning.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and event planning software.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Planning, or a related field (preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in event coordination or a similar role.
