Hotel Maintenance Technician

We're looking for a skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to join our team at The Explorer Hotel in Yellowknife, NT. If you're passionate about guest experience and hold a trades certificate or class 5 power engineering, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections in guest rooms, common areas, and mechanical systems.
• Handle repairs and troubleshoot electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve maintenance issues.
• Collaborate with other departments for a seamless guest experience.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and report major concerns.
• Assist with preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

• Valid trades certificate or class 5 power engineering (bonus).
• Prior maintenance and repair experience, preferably in a hotel.
• Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
• Attention to detail and proactive issue identification.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
