General Laborer (Card Personalization)

 Shift:                 Sunday – Thursday, 11:00 pm - 7:15 am


Job Summary

The general laborer will ensure that the jobs are balanced and complete when released from Quality Control and passed on to Mailing. The helper will also be responsible for the following: monitoring all incoming and outgoing plastics from the vault as well as all incoming carriers from data processing; responsible for all department remakes as well as carrier remakes from Mailing are monitored and released daily; ships out bulk orders from the card personalization department as well as ensure that all completed jobs are entered into the SAP system

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure jobs are balanced
  • Ensure smooth product flow from QC
  • Prioritize jobs being released to Mailing
  • Complete all related logs manually
  • Document and send remake plastics to the vault and document remake plastics released from the vault
  • Document all in-bound carriers from Data Processing to Card Personalization and monitor in-coming and out-going carrier remakes from the Card Personalization to Mailing department
  • Distribute all in-bound carriers to the respective operators
  • Ship out document bulk orders from the Card Personalization department
  • Scan all completed production logs in SAP
  • File and maintain three months record of all Card Personalization production log 
  • Enter and maintain all remake transactions manually into a log
  • Report the status of remakes to the Card Personalization Lead Hand daily
  • Communicate daily with the vault

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Back up other  areas in Card Personalization
  • Other production related duties as assigned
  • Follow up with digital print department daily on the status of carriers
  • Comply with G&D Environmental, Health & Safety  policies, procedures and report any Environmental, Health & Safety hazards, incidents and concerns to the immediate supervisor/manager.  Management will ensure employees are provided with job specific Environmental, Health & Safety information, training and also ensure employees follow workplace Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications, Experience and Educational Requirements

Work Experience:

  • 1-2 years related work experience in production

Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience with SAP is an asset
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is preferred
  • Self starter and motivated
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must have high degree of accuracy, detail oriented and organized


  • Completion of High School preferred

Working Conditions

  • Safety shoes and Smock must be worn in designated areas

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
